'Come on Mrs Human,' woofed Maisy,

 

 

'You can run faster than that!'

 

 

The 2 friends took a breather ...

Before Maisy ran off to chase the swallows.

 

Day 48

Maisy found that when your batteries run out ...

And you're dog tired

The best thing to do is ...

to take another 40 winks!

zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz zzz!

Day 35

Maisy pondered on the chewiness of Pinkie.

Even though Pinkie was nice and soft ...

Even though Pinkie was as much fun

as a pink thingie can be ...

Maisy decided that when it came to chewiness ...

even Pinkie could never replace Mr Human's slippers (which used to have laces!)

Day 34

Maisy was a bit wet from

going out into the garden.

So she dried herself on the towel.

Which doubled up very nicely as a pillow!

Maisy found that it can be quite hard work drying yourself on the towel ... 

And before long, decided the best thing to do would be to take another 40 winks!

Day 33

'Are you coming downstairs, little Maisy- Cakes?'

 

Maisy looked 'down the stairs.'

She decided that 'down the stairs' looked like rather a long way away!

'No it's OK Mrs Human,' she woofed, 'I think I'd rather stay up here, thankyou!'

Day 29

Maisy was feeling a bit peckish.

She found that being a puppy

can build up quite an appetite!

'Please Mrs Human, can I have some more?'

'Off course you can My Darling,'

replied Mrs Human,

'You can have whatever you like!'

The pair had a big cwtch because ...

that's what Best Friends do.

Day 27

Maisy tried really hard to get

Mrs Human's attention ...

In the end she had to get off the sofa

and go into the kitchen.

'Mrs Human ... '

'Yes Little Maisy Cakes?'

'Can we have a lazy day today please?'

'Off course we can, my beautiful girl.'

Mrs Human waited until Maisy was fast asleep and then put into her furry basket, where Good Old Ted was already taking forty winks!

Day 14

'Mmm,' thought Maisy, 'I wonder what puppies do on a Sunday?'

'Well, Sundays are such great fun!' Maisy mused, 'because first of all I get to sneak up onto Mrs Human's bed. I think she would like to have a bit of a snooze but we're not having any of that!' she giggled.

'This is fabulous!' thought Maisy as she sat cuddled up at Silly O'Clock with Mrs Human, who was still in her pyjamas!

After some strenuous bone chewing it seemed to Maisy that the very best thing to do on a Sunday ...

... was to take a well deserved Forty Winks!
